1. Set yourself a new goal
Why don’t you set yourself something that’s slightly easier to achieve? But much better than giving up completely! For example, if your original resolution was to train for one hour 3 times a week, you could reduce that to 30 minutes. Still well worth doing.
2. Get yourself a training buddy
Perhaps someone else whose resolve has faltered? Training with someone else means that you will turn up for training sessions. And a little bit of competition will do wonders for your motivation levels. Alternatively a Personal Trainer will make sure you stay motivated!
3. Keep a diary
Writing things down is a powerful motivator.
Write down what you have done and what you plan to do. Set targets for each week so that you keep track of where you are at and can see how much you have already achieved.
Just because you haven’t managed to do what you set out to in January, don’t stress.
Take stock, learn from what you have done and adjust your plans accordingly. Don’t give up. If you keep going you will get to where you want to be eventually.
Remember the hare and the tortoise. Just keep going!!
