My Top 5 Olympic Moments!
Amazing Olympics Performance by Team GB!!
Check out my Top 5!
Here at Absolute Health and Fitness we are totally committed to helping people reach their fitness goals.
Whatever they may be. And what better inspiration could there be for working towards those goals than the absolutely amazing performances put in by our athletes over the past 3 weeks!
From gymnastics to rowing, from athletics to cycling. Across the board our athletes gave it their all. And if you want to reach your personal gold medal standard, you know that’s what you have to do too!
It’s so hard to pick out individuals from such an amazing group of athletes but for what it’s worth here’s my Top 5:
At number 5 it’s Helen Glover and Heather Stanning
Under pressure going in as the defending champions and favourites for the Womens Pairs. They stepped up to the plate and won the gold medal. Respect!
At number 4 it’s the amazing Andy Murray
Fresh from his Wimbledon Championship success he found the strength and energy he needed to get that second Olympic gold medal. The medal that he craved. A gruelling match against a brilliant Del Potro, but he came out on top!
At number 3 it’s the GB Womens Hockey Team
Putting together a fantastic team performance with all the team members working so hard for each other. A thrilling final with a nerve-wracking penalty shootout. Big congrats to the goalkeeper for her meticulous preparation (she had each of the Dutch players preferred penalty shots written on her water bottle!) and a fabulous goal from Hollie Webb to seal the match.
At number 2 it’s the wonderful Brownlee Brothers
Alistair repeated his gold medal winning performance of London 2012 and brother Jonathon was just behind in silver medal position. Their tremendous dedication to their sport and the support they give each other brought out the very best result for them.
They never let off the pace and beat the rest of field by a big margin!
And at number 1 it’s got to be Mo!
Winning both the 5,000 metres and the 10,000 metres at not one, but two Olympics. Even when he fell!
He is THE MAN to motivate you! Motivational Mo with a capital M!

There were lots of other outstanding performances. Too many to mention here but I must give a shoutout to Fiona Bigwood, who won a silver medal as part of the GB dressage team. And to Jade Lally pictured above, who made it to the heats of the discus. Both Horsham girls – showing that it is possible to reach those sporting heights you dream of!
